What are Styes and Chalazia?

Styes (hordeolums) and chalazia are bumps that form on the eyelid due to blocked or infected oil glands. A stye is typically painful and caused by infection, while a chalazion is usually painless and results from gland blockage.

Symptoms

Localized swelling on the eyelid
