Myopia Management

Myopia is a very common health condition. A child with myopia can see clearly up close but has blurry vision when looking at objects in the distance. It happens when the normal eye grows too long from front to back usually developing between the ages of 8 and 16. This condition can get worse as kids grow, increasing the risk of serious eye conditions such as retinal detachment, glaucoma, cataracts and even blindness.

The earlier the treatment is started, the more effective it could be. Kids whose myopia is progressing more quickly have the potential for more benefit to slow the progression of nearsightedness with these specialty contacts.
